In 2022, Jenny celebrated her 30th birthday and had gone through three owners in her lifetime. We acquired her in 2010, which means we have been her proud owners for over 12 years now. Throughout these years, she has explored numerous places in Croatia, as her homeport is located in the northern part of the Adriatic Sea, somewhere in Italy.
As a vessel of her age, Jenny no longer retains the pristine appearance of a new ship, and many of her components have become worn out, broken, or outdated. Unfortunately, due to the corona pandemic, we were unable to haul her out of the water for maintenance. However, in July 2022, we finally had the opportunity to do so. Regrettably, an incident occurred during this task, causing damage to the sail drive.
We saw this as an opportunity to completely renovate the ship's underwater painting and replace outdated electrical parts with new ones. Among the electrical upgrades, we installed a state-of-the-art tridata system from Raymarine and installed a lithium battery with appropriate chargers. In the Projects section, we aim to share our acquired knowledge and our approach to these renovations. In addition to the work we undertake ourselves, we have enlisted the assistance of local companies to replace certain rig components, while the engine undergoes a thorough overhaul before repairing the damage on the sail drive.
